Daily Practice:

Prayer (5 minutes):  Thank God for sending Jesus, and thank Jesus for making you his son or daughter. His decision to sacrifice himself for you brings meaning to your life. Submit your life to his love, and ask him to bring one person to your mind who you can encourage with truth today.

Scripture (5 minutes): Read the passage below. Take your time. What is the phrase that resonates with you the most?

John 1: 14-18(ESV)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out,”This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me,’”)

And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No on has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

Meditation (5 minutes): Meditate on the line below. Repeat it 3x out loud.

the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…and from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

As believers, we’ve been given the incredible gift of Jesus’ life, his death on the cross, and his presence with us now as we walk through our days. He came to give us grace. He didn’t come to punish or judge. He came to redeem of us of our sins, and to remind us of our standing with the Father continually. Grace has been given because of what he’s done.

Have you fallen on your new year’s goals, objectives, promises, etc. yet? His grace remains as true today as it did two days ago, and two thousand years ago. He loves you. Repent, refresh yourself in the Spirit, and encourage those around you in the truth of who he is.

See you tomorrow!
