M2: Day Twelve

Daily Practice:

Silence (5 minutes):

      • Take 3 deep breaths in through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. Thank God for carrying you last week.
      • Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes of silence; sit with the Spirit and thank Him for the week past.
      • At the end of the 5 minutes, thank God for what He’s done and ask His blessing on the week ahead.

Scripture (5 minutes)John 11:38-44

Prayer & Meditation (5 minutes): Meditate and pray through the thoughts below + anything that stuck out to you from the passage above.

  • Though Martha’s faith flinches in the moment of truth, Jesus reminds her why He came to heal them (her faith), and moves forward despite her lapse.
    • Praise Jesus that your performance has nothing to do with His kind grace and blessing. He takes the tiny bits of faith we have and blesses us because of them.
  • Jesus publicly thanks the Father for what He is about to do, so that the people standing there would know to glorify God. He diverts glory and attention even in the midst of His miracle
    • Ask the Father for the humility to act in His power and to bring Him glory while doing so in the coming week.
  • Jesus acts with all of the confidence and power that God will hear His prayer and take action accordingly. His miraculous faith and power in action replace the need for words. He raises Lazarus, drops the mic, and the people believe.
    • Submit yourself to whatever God has for you this week, and TAKE ACTION. In faith, do what the Spirit guides you to do, and trust God for the result.

This week, let’s do more and talk less. Amen!
